I began my journey into the helping profession by obtaining a Certificate of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling (CASAC) from the State of New York in 1996. I received my undergraduate degree (2001) and my masters in Social Work (2002) from Fordham University in New York City. I obtained my LCSW (#77715) in 2003. In 2006 I resumed my clinical education and training through the doctoral program at Smith College School for Social Work and in 2016, I graduated with a PhD in Clinical Social Work.

I have had the opportunity to practice addiction counseling and psychotherapy with individuals, couples, families and groups in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation treatment and training facilities, social service agencies, inpatient psychiatric units, psychoanalytic training centers and in private practice.
